DANMIL DISC lenticular modules offer a compact and hermetically closed solution for filtration, using filtration technology with filter sheets.
DANMIL DISC can be used for a wide range of applications, from the filtration of wine, beer and fruit juices, as well as pharmaceutical liquids, gelatines, cosmetics and water.

WHAT TYPES OF DANMIL DISC ARE THERE?
DANMIL DISC lenticular modules are available with a 12” (332 mm) or 16” (410 mm) diameter, and the filter surface ranges from 1.8 to 3.7 m2 per module.
HOW ARE DANMIL LENTICULAR MODULES MADE?
Each module is made up of 16 cells, each one consisting of 2 discs or filter lenses, shaped around an internal polypropylene shell. The external edges of the discs are sealed by an injection-moulded polypropylene strip. A polyester membrane covers each side of the filter discs to protect them during handling. If backwashing occurs, pay attention to the differential pressure (max ∆P 0.5 Bar).
WHAT ARE THE BEST OPERATING CONDITIONS FOR DANMIL DISC?
Maximum operating temperature: 80°C
Max ∆p: 2.4 bar
CAN LENTICULAR MODULES BE REGENERATED AND STERILIZED?
Lenticular modules must be regenerated at the end of the day with hot water at 80°C for 20 min. (max), never backwashed. Steam sterilization can be carried out at 125°C for 30 min. at max 0.3 bar (43psid).
HOW ARE DANMIL DISC ASSEMBLED?
DANMIL DISC lenticular modules can be placed in individual containers or in up to 4 stacked containers with the external teeth facing downwards. The end sealing is carried out with a flat gasket or bayonet coupling with double O-ring.

Place the steel baffle disc on the central base plate, then insert the lenticular module followed by the other steel baffle disc, gasket and spacer.
HOW SHOULD LENTICULAR MODULES BE STORED?
Preserve them in hot or cold water when not in use overnight with some nitrogen in the bell housing at 1/1.5 bar to prevent yeast from forming. For longer periods of inactivity, wash with hot water and cold water, then fill entirely with water and metabisulphite, using the X-Wash solution.
