A maxi AEB Group investment for France

an oenological laboratory in the Loire Valley and a new Country Manager

31/05/2021

We, as AEB Group, are strengthening our presence in France. And we are doing so with:

  • the take-over of LATA (Laboratoire d 'Analyses et Techniques Agricoles), an accredited COFRAC laboratory, specialised in oenological services for small and medium-sized wine companies that guarantees a specific consulting and sales service in the Loire Valley;
  • the arrival of the new Country Manager Nicolas Helstroffer (on the right in the picture), an expert in the agri-food sector, international development and former CEO of Univitis.

Management excellence and capillarity: the two main factors of development will demonstrate the commitment and investments of our Group in France. The acquisition of the laboratory in the Loire Valley and the arrival of Nicolas Helstroffer as new Country Manager, lay solid foundations for structuring and reorganising the company in one of the world’s most important and most renown wine-producing countries. Two important innovations in harmony with the origin of a territory that makes local peculiarity one of its strengths.

Marc Gary (in the centre in the picture), Managing Director of LATA, and Mario Tomasoni (on the left in the picture), CEO of the AEB Group, both think that there are strong synergies, especially between the AEB Group and the French branch.

One of Nicolas Helstroffer's main tasks will be to insist on these two concepts in order to continue the group's ambitious development plan.

LATA laboratory, founded in 1987 and accredited COFRAC for the analysis of musts and wines. The laboratory has actual mobile units that offer wine establishments on-site services, such as the filtration of wines, musts and lees, bottling (capping or stapling of the screw cap), the “tirage” phase of sparkling wines and disgorgement. Not to mention the supply of all biotechnological products and the processing aids we offer with the valuable support of oenological consultants throughout the production process.

The founder and owner of LATAMarc Gary, will remain in office, to ensure continuity and service quality that make it for over 30 years a complete partner for any wine-making company located in the Loire Valley.
