MICROFILTRATION WITH HIGH WATER AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY: THE INNOTEC PLANT FOR LA MARCA
For more than fifty years, La Marca has been telling the story of an authentic territory, that of Conegliano and Piave wines. More than 15,000 hectares produce both of these prized Prosecco appellations: Prosecco D.O.C. (Controlled Designation of Origin), with its delicate floral aromas, the fruit of the generous soils of the plains, and Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin), which extends into the more inaccessible but sunny hillside areas, with its noble and elegant sparkling wines. In addition to various still wines, including Pinot Grigio delle Venezie D.O.C. and Cabernet Piave D.O.C.
The microfiltration plant designed and built by INNOTEC for La Marca consists of a double line capable of carrying out both the microfiltration and sanitation phases at the same time, ensuring separate handling for each bank in conjunction with the washing CIP.
The design and operation of the system makes it possible to optimise the cleaning and sanitising of the system itself and the filling machine, with the utmost attention to energy saving, which we know is a particularly sensitive issue for all food and beverage producers.
The work carried out for La Marca is also characterised by the repeatability of cycles and macrocycles and the long shelf life of the cartridges and membranes housed in the system.
This plant is another demonstration of how INNOTEC microfiltration is the ideal solution for simple and accurate, efficient and energy saving management of production lines in the winery.
