Fibroxcel 10 is a chemically inert filter aid used in the body feed filtration for building up the precoat.
The preparation is produced with a technological system enabling to obtain a perfect homogeneity amongst the different components through the use of special mixers equipped with rotating blades in a cyclone of air. This ensures the incorporation of the perlites amongst the cotton and the cellulose fibers. This new structure lends to the precoats and to the subsequent coats a constant honeycomb structure, main model for action efficiency. Fibroxcel 10 gives the coat an elastic structure, conferring a high resistance to pressure blows which occur during filtration.
The wettability of Fibroxcel 10 reduces the time needed for making up the precoat and prevents the separation of the fibers from the filter aids; the precoat is perfectly uniform from the very first building stages, of unvarying thickness and with a distribution at an identical ratio over the entire filter surface.
At the end of the filtration the coat is easily and fully detached in all filter types.
This filter aid has been realized to be used on musts and wines with middle or strong turbidity; it is effective on grape musts for the refining filtration with pressure filters and can be utilized as sole agent for the brightening filtration of finished wines. Fibroxcel 10 should be used in a variable dose between 800 and 1.000 g/m2 of filtering surface for building up the precoat, or in variable doses between 20 and 80 g/hL for the body feed filtration.
